How a case works
How does an injury case work at Callan Injury Law?
Every case is different, but most follow the same path. Here is what to expect, from your first call to the end of your case.
A free first call
Tell us what happened. Nora asks a few questions, answers yours, and tells you plainly whether she can help.
We investigate
We gather reports, photos, records and witness names, and we ask the other side to keep its evidence.
You focus on your recovery
We deal with the insurers while you get the care you need. We track your bills, lost work and treatment.
We present your claim
When your doctors know how you will recover, we send the insurer a full picture of your losses and negotiate.
You decide
We explain every offer in plain words. If a fair offer does not come, we talk with you about filing a lawsuit.
In every case
What is true of every injury case in Idaho?
Whatever happened to you, a few things apply to nearly every personal injury claim in Idaho.
Deadlines apply
Idaho sets deadlines for filing injury claims, often 2 years from the date of injury. Some claims have shorter notice deadlines.
Fault can be shared
Idaho uses modified comparative fault. You may recover if your share of the blame is less than the other side's, reduced by your share.
Insurers protect their company
An adjuster may be friendly. Their job is still to keep what their company pays as low as it can.
Records make the claim
Medical records, bills, photos and reports show what happened and what it cost you. We gather them for you.
You decide on every offer
Most injury claims are resolved without a trial. Whether to accept an offer is always your choice.
No fee up front
Callan Injury Law works on a contingency fee, a percentage of any recovery, agreed in writing before work begins.
